January in Review
The team hit the ground running in January with a slight increase in jobs compared to January 2023. With some staff enjoying time off over this period, we were kept very busy throughout the last few weeks with signs of a busy February to come. You may have heard more from Molly throughout January as she helped out with admin while Nick was away, she will continue to assist more throughout the year as she continues her return from maternity leave.
We sadly said goodbye to Lisa in January as she embarks on a change of career this year. Lisa has been a much loved member of the team for many years and she will be greatly missed by our clients and all of us at NCPro Visuals. All the best with your new endeavours Lisa!
It is a busy time of year for property management departments and we have been completing a lot of rental photography over the last few weeks. Alongside residential rentals we have captured several holiday rentals in Bendigo, Ballarat and upcoming work in the Melbourne CBD. Professional photography is a must for all types of rentals and has shown to significantly increase bookings on Airbnb and similar sites.

Product Insight - Dusk Photography
Dusk Photography has been an integral part of a large number of real estate marketing campaigns for many years. It involves taking the external images just after sunset to capture a nice glow from exposed windows and lights on the property, which in addition to a beautiful dusk sky will make the property look amazing! Taking internal images around this time when the sun has gone down and the light is even can also create great results internally, especially if the home has modern downlights which spread light and photograph particularly well.
It is also possible to digitally convert a daytime image into a dusk image, which can have good results but is no replacement for the real thing! There is an extra cost involved in booking dusk photography due to the later time slot (particularly in Summer), and it holds an extra premium as one photographer can only capture one dusk property a day. Our team are always kept busy with dusk shoots and we usually have several photographers out each evening.

How long have you worked as a real estate photographer?
I started working in real estate photography around the start of 2022 - my dream job!!
What is your background in photography?
I have always loved photography and during COVID decided what better time to start something new that I loved with lots of time on my hands… so I did lots of courses and online studies and started my own photography business in 2020.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I enjoy spending time with my little girl, pets and family/friends. I also enjoy exercising and being in good routines… AND taking photos!
What do you love most about your job?
I love that it doesn’t feel like work. That it’s exciting and interesting seeing so many different houses/properties! And it makes it so much better having the best most accommodating boss out there!!
Favourite holiday destination?
Favourite holiday destination would have to be Bali. I’ve only been twice but it is soo fun over there - definitely keen to get back!
Favourite TV show?
Favourite tv show would have to be Border Security or RBT! Or The Office is always fun!
Favourite movie?
Favourite movie would have to be Aftermath. Funny story - my craving during pregnancy was horror movies… strange I know! Never in my life have I liked them until I was pregnant but this is a really good one!
What music do you listen to?
I listen to all sorts of music but love upbeat fun stuff that you can have a dance to!
Favourite food?
Favourite food would have to be icecream! (Or chocolate….Love a bit of “mol rock”… my own cold rock except a 1/4 of the price haha
Favourite restaurant?
Favourite restaurant would have to be the Rifle in Bendigo! We had our wedding reception there and it’s just great! Food is delicious!
Drink of choice?
I’m very boring! Pepsi max is my absolute go to!
